Bugs

We all dislike them: Bugs. Unfortunaley they belong to a very strong species, too. Here is a small list of known bugs, their descriptions and workarounds.

Bug Version Description Workaround Status

Editing a text field must be explicitly quit with Done before another text field can be edited or before you can change the view. Otherwise Eco:Map will crash. This only affects devices running iOS 7.

Before entering a new text field or before changing the view a you must have closed the keyboard by pressing Done.

Will be fixed in version 2.7.0.

The User defined center coordinate in the field trip's dialogue is not visible.

Tap on User defined center coordinate. The map occurs. Tap a little while on it until the context menu GPS & Map appears. Press on it until the new dialogue opens. Close it immediately by pressing Cancel. Now you can see the user defined center coordinate.

Will be fixed in version 2.7.0.

B1357 2.5.0

Some users couldn't open the finds of their field trips after having updated Eco:Map to version 2.5.0.

If this happened please go to the list of all field trips and open the excursion in edit mode by tapping Edit. Now, choose Settings. The cell Database is empty. Select it and in the list of all databases tap on the desired one. Automatically you get back to Settings. Touch Save and you can use your field trips as normal.

This bug has to be fixed by the user.

B1138 1.0.0 - 1.2.0

Eco:Map doesn't restart after a crash. Since Eco:Map stores its application state after being shut down it might occur under rare circumstances that Eco:Map tries to restore this erroneous state and crashes again.

Open the Settings of your device and look for Eco:Map. Tap Eco:Map and then switch on Ignore status file. Restart Eco:Map.

Workaround needs version 2.0.0 or higher.

B1139 1.2.0

Importing a user defined database that contains characters like ' or \ or any other character that is not part of the scientific character set is not handled properly by Eco:Map. Searching for these characters leads to a crash.

None

Fixed in version 1.2.1.
